Marguerite Casey Foundation wins award for outstanding website
SEATTLE, (March 26, 2007) - Marguerite Casey Foundation website Equal Voice has been named a Silver award winner for excellence in communications by the 2007 Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program. Sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the awards program recognizes effective communications efforts to increase public awareness of foundations and corporate giving programs.
Equal Voice was created to advance the work of the grantees and to connect grantees with each other and the media.
“We are especially pleased that the Council chose to recognize Equal Voice,” said President and CEO Luz Vega-Marquis. “In doing so, the Council gives voice to the people who spend each day working to create a better world.”
Entries to the awards program included annual or biennial reports, newsletters, special reports, public policy campaigns and websites. This year 174 entries were submitted to the awards program.
The award will be presented at the 58th Annual Conference of the Council on Foundations in Seattle on Monday, April 30, 2007.
