EHC demands City of Chula Vista retract MMC letter
Environmental Health Coalition and Chula Vista residents today demanded retraction of a comment letter submitted by the City of Chula Vista that suggests the planned power plant is consistent with the Chula Vista General Plan for land use. The 2005 General Plan, crafted with extensive public participation, explicitly prohibits locating industry near homes, schools, or hospitals.

City, county align to end homelessness
Washington Families Fund, a public-private partnership led by Seattle-based non-profit organization Building Changes, is embarking upon a bold new approach to end homelessness among families with children throughout the state. The goal is to reduce the problem by 50 percent in the next decade.
