As Investment Officer, Dan supports the management of the Foundation’s endowment by formulating the investment strategy and uncovering investment opportunities to support MCF’s mission to shift resources and power to working people and their families. In this role, Dan’s goal is to center a commitment to racial equity and justice across the entire investment program to further align the endowment with MCF’s purpose.
Prior to joining MCF, Dan was a Senior Portfolio Manager at TIAA in the Private Asset Management division. At TIAA, he managed over $1 billion in assets for high net worth individuals and foundations. With over 17 years of experience in investment management, Dan has also held roles in equity research, asset management, and portfolio management.
Dan is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFAⓇ) and Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIAⓇ) charters. He has also earned a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington. Outside of MCF, Dan can be found exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two daughters.
